Community Inside and Out

We mentioned a while ago how excited we are to have earned our certification from the Indiana Affiliation of Recovery Residences, but I wanted to take a minute to talk a little more about what that really means.

Community is an important word to us, and not just because it’s in our name. There’s a community of people seeking recovery inside our four walls, but we’re also part of a larger community. One that spreads throughout Michiana and the state of Indiana. We’re part of a community of people and organizations trying to make sure everyone who needs help recovering from addiction can find it.

Part of how we’re trying to achieve that as a community is working with other organizations to communicate better, cover service gaps and establish standards for better care. The Indiana Affiliation of Recovery Residences (or INARR), is built from the ground up to do just that. By working together in this forum with other recovery organizations, we can accomplish more than we ever could alone. We can help more people than we ever could alone. We can get closer to the world where everyone who needs help recovering from addiction can get it.

And that’s all that matters.
